LLF Celebrate Board Members – Phil Thornton

Phil Thornton is Senior Vice President and General Manager at RCA Inspiration and sits on our Advisory Board.  He was recognized on Billboard’s 40 Under 40 list of music industry power players who are helping to redefine the industry.

A graduate of Norfolk State University, he started as an artist manager, then formed the successful Ten2One Entertainment handling multimedia, TV production and management.  He runs Phillionaire Worldwide Publishing, which received 2 BMI Awards for Eminem’s single featuring Bruno Mars, “Lighters” as the Most Played Pop & Urban Records of 2011.  He was VP & GM, Urban Inspirational at eOne Music and now at RCA, his team handles some of the top gospel artists in the world.  He even gave Snoop Dogg his first Gospel album!

Phil is also a  television and film producer, having executive produced the hit TV series, R&B Divas AtlantaR&B Divas LA (TV One) and It’s A Mann’s World (BET) and films, A Boy. A Girl. A Dream: Love on Election Night and Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Miche’le.  He serves on the boards of the Recording Academy’s Nashville chapter, the Gospel Music Association, the National Museum of African American Music (NMAAM) and Hope for Harvest.   He was inducted into the Stellar Awards Hall Of Fame and received the Living Legends Foundation Gospel Music Award
