Celebrating the Heroes of Black Music & Culture: James Marsh

Today, the Living Legends Foundation is celebrating the Heroes of Black Music & Culture.

Join us in congratulating JAMES MARSH, National Account Director, Warner Music Nashville, our recognized “Hero Behind The Culture” for #BlackMusicMonth. His career includes Warner Music Nashville, Big Machine Label Group, Warner Bros. Records, Road Runner/Elektra Records, Atlantic Records, Def Jam Music Group, and Universal Music Group. In radio, he made his mark at KHYI-Y95, KJMZ- 100.3 JAMZ, and KDGE – 102.1 The Edge.

His father James Lynn Marsh, Sr. was a respected musician in Texas and instilled in his son a deep reverence for all kinds of music. While still in high school James began working at WFAA-TV and while in college, he honed his skills as an in-demand DJ in the sizzling club scene around Dallas.

Later as a full-time employee at the TV station, James would work in the newsroom and was also part of numerous specials and program launches like “Good Morning Texas.” Even after he left the station, he stayed in touch and worked on other special events, the annual New Year’s Eve show and on the launch of Power Aid with Lebron James on a limited edition of DC Comic books that featured the perennial NBA all-star.

He’s passionate and committed to the artists he represents. He serves on the DEI Committees for the ACM and CMA and leads Warner Music Nashville DEI Committee. James is determined to make a change in the culture of Country Music, putting a seat at the table for everyone.

James has been featured in numerous publications such as Billboard Magazine (Country Music Power Player for several years), Country Aircheck online publication, CMA Country Music YouTube feature “Behind the Curtain”, Smoking Section Podcast, and Mount Juliet Lifestyle Magazine, where he shares his unique view of the landscape.

James, the Living Legends Foundation recognizes your hard work and love for the culture. We see you and now others will too!
