I started at WPEG (POWER 98) in Charlotte as an intern in 1996 under the guidance of Nate Quick & Artie The One Woman Party. I’ve worked as the Production Director of The Breakfast Brothas Morning Show, Mix-Show DJ/Mix-Show Coordinator for WPEG/WBAV/WNKS, Afternoon Drive host, Music Director, Assistant Program Director & Co-Host of the Morning Show and am currently the Program Director of WPEG/WBAV since 2018.
The 2 people who influenced me to have a career in radio were NATE QUICK, the first one to give me a radio break and ARTIE THE ONE WOMAN PARTY. I started my internship with her and she showed me the fun element of being a radio jock.
I liked Nate’s delivery on the airwaves. His passion as a music director and his attitude towards his listening audience meant the world to him. I borrowed smiling on the air from Nate. Something about smiling while talking on the mic makes you sound better! LOL!
One of my proudest moments was when I was introduced on stage at one of our big station concerts and I heard people sing my name, “Mr. Incognito”. That actually made my day. People actually listen to me.
