I am TJ Miller currently residing in Dallas Texas. I’ve been in the music business for 20+ years and had the pleasure of working for PolyGram as an Artist Development Rep, Motown Records as a Sales Manager, Capitol Records as a Senior Director, and Warner Music and a Universal company as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. I’ve also had the good fortune of working with Alexander O’Neal, Redman, Method Man, Tony! Toni! Toné!, Brian McKnight, The Temptations, Missy Elliott, Brandy, Queen Latifah and tons more.
After music’s paradigm shift, I started taking classes in Hollywood on screen and story writing. In addition, I went back to school to attain the Content and Label Services company called Unda The Hat Entertainment Media. We have two primary functions. We create content in the form of books plays, films and blogs. Additionally, we consult independent artists, authors, labels and other entertainment entities in the area of brand marketing, sales and social media engagement.
The biggest influential artist in my life would have to be Marvin Gaye. I love underdog and comeback stories. Beginning his career as one of the premier vocalists of the time, he eventually hit a snag and went through some very dark times. He had the wherewithal to keep creating music, and now has one of the greatest comeback stories of all time, before his untimely death.
