In her role, Carolyn works with the Senior Executive Team to ensure RCA\u2019s strong positioning in market share and navigate through its major artist releases. She worked directly with the various label teams on project planning, fan engagement and campaign and audience development. She also serves as the marketing lead on several key projects.<\/p>\n
During her tenure at RCA, Williams has served as Executive Sponsor of their internal organization, BMAC (Black Music Action Committee) and co-founded the quarterly lecture series, \u201cThe Spark.\u201d She also guided the activation of the 2020 initiative, \u201cYour Voice, Your Power, Your Vote\u201d and has continued to build programs along with Sony\u2019s DE&I Team.<\/p>\n
A New York native and graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, she worked as an entertainment journalist before segueing into music, working at Soul Brother Records and Productions, Penalty Recordings, Tommy Boy Records and J Records, rising through the ranks at J to Senior Vice President.<\/p>\n
She has been recognized among Billboard\u2019s Women in Music, R&B\/Hip Hop Power Players and Change Agents and Variety\u2019s Hitmakers and Power of Women NY. She is a member of the XXL Awards board receiving three Clio Music Awards. She serves as Diversity Ambassador and Co-Chair of the New York City chapter of She Is The Music, a non-profit organization committed to increasing opportunities for women in the industry and launched her own Strategic and Creative Marketing agency, The AICE Collective.<\/p>\n
