In honor of #BlackMusicMonth &amp; our 30<sup>th<\/sup> Anniversary, we are remembering our past awards dinners and honorees. \u00a0In 2006, do you remember when Cathy Hughes, founder of Urban One wrote us a big check on the spot? Then Miller London got on the mic and challenged the record labels not to let a radio network outdo them?\u00a0 LA Reid and Doug Morris stepped up and wrote a check, then RCA jumped in and wrote another one!\u00a0 It was an exciting night and we raised significant funds for the Foundation to continue our work of helping our brothers and sisters when they were in need.\u00a0 The honorees that year were:<\/p>\n<p>Top row L-R:\u00a0 Charles Goldstuck, Founder\/Co-Chairman Hitco Entertainment, former President &amp; COO BMG, Co-Founder J Records &amp; EVP Arista; LA Reid, Founder\/Co-Chairman Hitco Entertainment, Co-Founder LaFace Records, CEO\/President Arista, Chairman.
