Brand Manager of V-103 Radio, Atlanta
Today, the Living Legends Foundation is celebrating the Heroes of Black Music & Culture. Join us in congratulating REGGIE ROUSE, Brand Manager of V-103 Radio, our recognized “Hero Behind The Culture”.
Reggie heads the brand for Atlanta’s iconic V-103 (WVEE-FM), one of the country’s top urban stations. With a career spanning over two decades, he has played a pivotal role in shaping urban radio and elevating Black music across the nation. Reggie began his programming journey as an intern for Tony Gray at KISS-FM in New York. He then worked in the research department at Hot 97 in New York where Angie Martinez was his supervisor. Reggie then transitioned to WQKS in Kentucky, to WAEG/WAEJ in Augusta, GA then back to New York to work at WBLS. In 1997, Jay Stevens hired Reggie as the Morning Show Producer for “The Donnie Simpson Morning Show” at WPGC 95.5 in Washington, D.C. There he was promoted to Assistant Program Director, and he co-created the nationally syndicated “Live in the Den with Big Tigger.” In 2005, he became Brand Manager at V-103, and under his 20 years of leadership, the station has remained a cultural and ratings powerhouse. He’s had the privilege of coaching award-winning air talent like Big Tigger, Frank Ski, Greg Street, Joyce Littel, and Larry Tinsley, all of whom reflect V-103’s position as the People’s Station. Reggie continues to uphold V-103’s legacy of excellence, whose influence extends beyond music and sits at the intersection of African American culture, politics, and more in Atlanta and around the world. Follow him on IG @BigDogReggieRouse, on LI @Reggie Rouse and on FB @Reggie Rouse. Reggie, the Living Legends Foundation recognizes your hard work and love for the culture.
