Celebrating the Heroes of Black Music & Culture: Aliya Crawford

Today, the Living Legends Foundation is celebrating the Heroes of Black Music & Culture.

Join us in congratulating ALIYA CRAWFORD, Senior Vice President, W&W Public Relations, our recognized “Hero Behind The Culture” for #BlackMusicMonth. She is a stellar publicist, brilliant brand strategist, creative filmmaker, and innovative producer and entrepreneur who has played an integral role in many unforgettable endeavors. She’s also an industry leader whose been instrumental in the careers of both established and up-and-coming talent and brands.

After graduating from Temple University with a Film & Media Arts degree, she wrote, produced and directed her own short films. Her career path eventually led her to the entertainment and sports PR firm, W&W Public Relations, founded by legendary and iconic publicist, Patti Webster. Aliya moved up in the firm quickly, from an assistant to her current role and in 2013, after Patti’s untimely death, Aliya became a co-owner of W&W PR.

In addition to public relations and brand management, Aliya is passionate about developing her own film and television projects. She co-produced the feature length romantic comedy, Computer Love and served as an associate producer for An All-Star Tribute to Patti LaBelle.

She is on the board of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Recording Academy and currently serves as the chapter’s Secretary. She has served on the board of Hope for Harvest and is an avid supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Otis Redding Foundation, World Food Kitchen, and Children’s Specialized Hospital.

Aliya is destined to become an even more successful brand strategist and business leader as she’s an ingenious visionary who intuitively knows how to take a company, a campaign, or a career to the next level.
