Beginning in Illinois and ending a lifetime later in Philadelphia, my radio career was a nomadic journey. In between, I was on the air in Orlando, Grand Prairie TX, New Orleans, Atlanta, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and St Louis doing music, political talk, Director of Programming and Promotion.
My transition began when I figured out that if I managed my time correctly as a broadcaster, that I could get my bachelor’s degree (Illinois State University) and my master’s degree from an Ivy League institution (Penn) and my law degree (Rutgers-Camden) in the attempt to be a better broadcaster and a stronger overall professional. I’m now in private practice in Orlando and running for Circuit Court Judge in Orange/Osceola Counties on August 28, 2018.
The music, or rather the artist who inspires me is my brother, the late trumpeter, Miles Davis. Along with my parents, Miles was an inspiration and stands for the proposition for never being pigeonholed in your professional self. He was never pigeonholed as an artist and I have never been pigeonholed as a professional.
